Selected from the National Pear Repository in Corvalis with a search of the ARS/GRIN database using "very early pear" as the criteria. A local variety in Bulgaria, parentage unknown. Fruit: small - 18g, pyriform. Skin: yellow. Flesh: soft, sweet, ripens June 15-20. Keeping 3-4 days. Tree: large, vigorous, very productive - 160 to 180 kg per tree, sometimes to 400g. Highly resistant to winter cold and spring frost and summer temperature and low air humidity. Susceptible to scab.
